Through the work carried out in the field of Mobility and Systems, IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN) aims to improve the engines and vehicles of tomorrow via:

  • A better understanding of the fundamental phenomena at play in current engines,
  • New technical solutions to improve the performance of powertrains,
  • Exhaust gas after-treatment tool design,
  • The adaptation of engines to fuels and biofuels,
  • Vehicle electrification and design of hybrid vehicle systems.
