IFPEN Catalysis Rewarded

July 2015

The Edith Flanigen Award is presented annually to an exceptional young female scientist, in the eight years following graduation.

The 2015 Awards have honored Celine Chizallet, researcher at IFP Energies nouvelles, for her work in the field of molecular modeling applied to the understanding and rationalization of the functioning of catalysts.

The award is conferred by CRC 1109, the Berlin interdisciplinary platform for the study of water/oxide interfaces.

By way of reminder, Edith Flanigen is a US chemist known internationally for her work in the field of zeolites. She is perhaps most notably responsible for the discovery of the widespread presence of zeolite Y in hydrocracking catalysts.
