Stéphane Henriot has been appointed director of IFP’s Energy Applications Techniques Division. He takes over from Gaëtan Monnier who has been assigned to other functions.
Stéphane Henriot, 45, graduated from ENSEEIHT (Ecole nationale supérieure d'électrotechnique, d'électronique, d'informatique et d'hydraulique de Toulouse) and holds a post graduate diploma in mechanics from the INPT (Institut national polytechnique de Toulouse).
He joined IFP in 1986 as a research engineer in 3D engine modeling within the Energy Applications Techniques Division. There, he was involved in the spark ignition synthetic engine project conducted by the GSM (‘Groupement scientifique moteur’ or scientific engine group, comprising PSA Peugeot Citroën, Renault and IFP). In 1994 he was appointed manager of the Engine Design Modeling project.
In 2000 he became head of the Combustion and Engine Research Department, before being appointed head of the Engine CFD and Simulation Department in 2007.
