Sustainable resources
With the increasing power of emerging countries, global energy consumption will continue to grow in the coming decades. It will be driven primarily by the transport and electricity sectors, which are both particularly reliant on oil and gas. However, reserves are limited. In order to meet energy requirements, it is therefore essential to improve the exploration and production of fossil resources.
IFP Energies nouvelles is working on the development of simulation tools contributing to a better understanding of the underground environment and of technologies enabling the discovery and production of new deposits.
