" Today, IFP Energies nouvelles is developing the technologies needed to optimize the use of oil and gas, while simultaneously developing new solutions designed to ensure a smooth energy transition. Hence, with more than 50 areas of expertise, both scientific and technical, IFP Energies nouvelles is active in a broad spectrum of fields: in the “upstream” sector (exploration and production), the “downstream” sector (refining, petrochemicals and gas treatment) and engines (fuels, combustion and post-treatment). New energy technologies –biofuels, H2, CO2– are incorporated into these programs.
 
Working at IFP Energies nouvelles means developing a very high level of expertise in cutting-edge technological fields, within multidisciplinary teams. This expertise is further enhanced by constant contact with IFP Energies nouvelles's scientific, technical and industrial partners, working within an international environment.
