Renewable energies
The use of renewable energies addresses a dual objective: to tackle climate change resulting from CO2 emissions and to reduce energy reliance on oil, particularly in the transport sector.
However, many scientific and technological obstacles need to be overcome to develop production technologies. The research conducted by IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN) concerns the production of fuels and chemical intermediates from biomass, as well as the use of marine energies.
