IFP Energies nouvelles' quality policy applies to every research and development project we undertake, and to its methods as much as to its targets.
All the research, consultancy and expertise activities carried out by IFP Energies nouvelles's three R&D business units met the requirements of international standard ISO 9001:2000. These certifications related to the planning and conduct of all projects in the fields of exploration-production, refining-petrochemicals and powertrain engineering, as well as the activities of the principal associated support functions (skills management, purchasing and IT)..
The IFPEN quality policy is designed to meet the needs of its customers and partners. It is also guided by a quest for efficiency, in terms of both costs and resources. The innovation management system introduced in 2010 to more effectively address the expectations of society and industry was supported in 2011 by improvements made to project management and steering at IFPEN. This system is also supported by production process optimization tools, the performance of which was highlighted by RGPP (French General Review of Public Policies) auditors.
We are concurrently optimizing our testing facilities, in particular rolling out Computer-Assisted Maintenance Management (CAMM) applications which will significantly enhance control over metrology and safety as well as maintenance.
