Appointment at IFP

Sophie Jullian has been appointed IFP-Lyon's Director for Development. This marks IFP's drive to step up its industrial and scientific initiatives in the Rhône-Alpes region and to create new synergies to support the various economic players in the region.

Sophie Jullian, 48, is a graduate engineer from the École supérieure de chimie industrielle de Lyon (ESCIL) and has a doctorate in chemistry. She joined IFP in 1983 and worked in the field of separation by adsorption processes in the Applied Physical Chemistry and Analysis Division and became project manager of gas treatment processes. In 1998, she was appointed Head of the Thermodynamic and Transfer Department, before becoming, in 2001, Director of the Development Division at IFP-Lyon. She has been Director of the Process Development and Engineering Division since 2005.
