Advances in the field of colloid and complex fluid sciences will lead to the development of new efficient and eco-friendly solutions designed to address some of the energy and environment-related challenges of the 21st century.
Colloids and complex fluids sciences are a growing and flourishing field and significant progresses have been made in terms of designing, characterizing, understanding and modeling colloidal systems and their flow properties.
The objectives of this conference are to share advances in this field and discuss their potential to address scientific challenges in the oil and gas and new energies sectors. Among potential applications are enhanced oil recovery, flow assurance, water management, catalyst and nanoparticle synthesis, CO2 capture and storage, clean and efficient engine, biomass transformation and any other application dedicated to the development of new energies.
The scientific topics on the agenda include: flow in confined systems (porous media, microfluidics), dynamic interfacial phenomena, bubble/drops and capillary phenomena, nanoparticle design, multiscale simulation, smart/responsive systems, rheology and flow properties of colloidal systems, and in situ characterization techniques.
The program of this international conference will be structured to encourage interaction and stimulate the exchange of ideas between players from the worlds of academic research, applied research and industry.
