Carnot label
IFP Energies nouvelles actively contributes to the vitality of the Instituts Carnot network, one of the objectives of which is to promote the development of public/private joint research.
Selective certification to promote research partnerships with business firms
Research centers applying for Carnot label certification and funding need to meet a number of criteria in terms of their:
- scientific and technological excellence,
- ties with academic research,
- ability to steer research towards high-quality solutions addressing business and industry needs.
The Carnot label is thereby playing a part in efforts to streamline France's technological-research landscape and thereby to cement France's appeal among leading international research centers and business firms.
IFP Energies nouvelles earns Carnot label certification
In 2006 IFP Energies nouvelles obtained the Carnot label for its expertise in powertrain systems and fuels. The label also recognizes its capacity to conduct joint research activities.
On April 28, 2011, the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research renewed the Carnot label of IFP-Moteurs of IFPEN for a period of five years from 2011.
