With the support of the Tuck Foundation, IFP School has just created a chair dedicated to "Hybrid vehicles and energy control". IFP is constantly developing new programs and in this case the School is anticipating the growing needs for expertise relating to the gradual electrification of vehicle engines. This new chair will consolidate IFP School’s focus on environmental issues associated with motor vehicles in terms of local pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
Antonio Sciarretta, an IFP expert in the fields of control and hybrid vehicles, has been appointed to the newly created chair position. As post holder, his remit will be to implement new courses in these fields, coordinate teaching modules, supervise end-of-study projects and theses, and contribute to the development of a new Research Masters that the School plans to run on this theme with various academic partners.
An integral part of IFP, IFP School prepares tomorrow’s specialists to take up the challenges associated with the energy transition. Open to graduate students from around the world, IFP School provides a full range of training programs delivered in French or English in every area of the energy field (oil, gas, petrochemicals, powertrains, new energy technologies, energy markets). The school has built up a very solid international reputation, backed up by close partnerships with research and industrial players (each year, 50% of its student intake is international, coming from around fifty different countries, and over 80% of its students are sponsored by industry).
