Raymond Szymanski has been appointed Director of the SMEs Relations Division.

Raymond Szymanski, 52, graduated in engineering from the École supérieure de Chimie industrielle de Lyon (ESCIL, or Lyon School of Industrial Chemistry) and holds a Ph.D in chemistry. He joined IFP in 1983 as a research engineer in the Applied Physical Chemistry and Analysis Division. In 1990, he joined the Process Engineering Division at IFP-Lyon. Head of the Development Division’s Analysis Department from 1992, he was made Director of the Physics and Analysis Division in 1998. From 2002, he held various managerial positions in the fields of analysis, catalysis and processes, before joining the Industrial Development Business Unit in 2007 as senior business manager.
