He joined IFP in 1981 as a Reservoir engineer within the Reservoir Engineering Division before moving to the Physical Chemistry and Analysis Division in 1988. In 1994, he was in charge of information watch and economic intelligence within the Documentation Division.

The Cedigaz association was created by IFP in 1961. It brings together more than 150 members from 40 countries, involving most of the major oil and gas companies, banks, consultants, engineering companies and equipment suppliers, as well as French and international organizations.
Cedigaz analyzes and disseminates all economic information relating to natural gas, LNG and unconventional gases, through periodic reports, theme-based studies and online databases. Cedigaz deals with information relating to all the aspects and activities of the gas industry (reserves, production, treatment/processing, transport, storage, distribution and consumption). It acts as a benchmark player in providing statistical information and forecasts which are quoted in major discussions on energy.
