From research to industry, technological innovation is central to all its activities, hinged around three strategic priorities: sustainable mobility, new energies and responsible oil and gas.
IFPEN-Lyon brings together more than 800 employees along with design, modeling, experimentation and development facilities aimed at validating the industrial feasibility of IFPEN’s processes and technologies, ensuring their reliability and guaranteeing their industrial scale-up.
Its commitment to innovation and its support for the local economic fabric is illustrated by its involvement in the Axelera (Chemistry and Environment in Lyon and the Rhône-Alpes region), LUTB (Lyon Urban Truck & Bus) and Tenerrdis (Energy Cluster) competitiveness clusters. IFPEN-Lyon is also involved in the Axel'One collaborative platform project, through which it reinforces its partnerships with players in the region.
