India is now emerging as one of the world's leading engines of innovation. In this context, Bharat Innovates provided IFP School with an opportunity to strengthen its ties with Indian partners through the signing of an agreement with IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, illustrating the IFPEN Group’s commitment to international academic cooperation and the energy transition.

The first edition of Bharat Innovates was inaugurated in Nice by French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of the Franco-Indian Year of Innovation. The two leaders reaffirmed their shared ambition to deepen cooperation under the “France–India Special Strategic Partnership” in key sectors shaping the future, including innovation, energy, artificial intelligence, healthcare and space.

Beyond showcasing technological excellence, Bharat Innovates aims to strengthen connections between the Indian academic community and European innovation ecosystems, at a time of intense global competition for talent, investment and industrial capabilities.
