As Europe seeks to accelerate the deployment of e-fuels to decarbonize aviation and maritime transports while strengthening its industrial sovereignty, major challenges remain to transform ambition into industrial reality. Join us on the 15th of October 2026 at the Maison Irène et Frédéric Joliot-Curie in Brussels for a one-day seminar on “E-fuels Made in Europe: Challenges for a Successful Deployment.”
Co-organized by CEA and IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN), two leading French research and technology organizations committed to advancing low-carbon energy solutions, the event will bring together stakeholders from across the e-fuels value chain, including industry representatives, technology developers, end-users, research organizations, and public institutions.
The seminar will provide a comprehensive overview of the European e-fuels landscape, from policy ambitions and regulatory frameworks to technology developments, technology scale-ups, and project deployments. It will also address key challenges currently slowing the emergence of the sector and explore primary levers to accelerate market uptake, including investment frameworks, industrialization pathways, innovations, and cost reductions. Through expert presentations and high-level panel discussions, participants will have the opportunity to exchange views, share experiences, and contribute to shaping a competitive, resilient, and sustainable European e-fuels industry.
