IFPEN, a key player in the bioeconomy, is your partner

  • to meet the challenges of the ecological transition and help build a decarbonised and sustainable future

  • to integrate renewable resources at the heart of industrial innovation

Converting biomass waste into materials

IFPEN designs processes to manufacture materials from non-food biomass waste.
Objective: produce everyday products—such as tyres, bottles, adhesives, and more—while limiting the extraction of fossil resources.

Converting waste into biofuels

IFPEN develops processes to produce fuels from non-food biomass waste.
Objective: decarbonise transport by offering alternatives to fossil-based resources.

Assessing and improving soil quality

IFPEN develops tools to assess soil carbon content and the impact of microplastics, as well as technologies to enrich soils with nutrients.
Objective: protect soils, which play a key role in the energy and ecological transition.
