Transport and Pollution International Conference 2025
4-6 November 2025
From TAP to TaP...
Transport and Air Pollution becomes Transport and Pollution
a more insightful vision of transport impacts!
The 26th edition of the International Conference on Transport and Pollution (TaP 2025) was held at IFP Energies nouvelles from November 4 to 6, 2025.
IFP Energies nouvelles, a major European player in the characterization of transport emissions, their simulation and mitigation in order to improve the environmental efficiency of transport, was very proud to welcome the Transport and Pollution international conference for the first time to its headquarters.
During this latest edition, experts from around the world gathered to share the latest scientific and technical advances in the study of transport impacts. For the first time, TaP 2025 broadened its scope to include not only air quality but also other topics such as noise, soil, and water.
Topics
For over two decades, TAP international conferences have focused on emissions from transportation and their impact on air quality, covering a range of critical topics. Sessions have continued to cover essential topics, including new emission control concepts, measurement (among which remote sensing), decarbonization, non-exhaust emissions and new worldwide regulations.
This year, we were pleased to put emphasis on two focal themes:
- Assessment and modeling of emissions, fate and trends: Measurement campaigns, emission factors, impact of usage conditions; Exhaust and non-exhaust emissions from tire and brake; Primary and secondary aerosols and contribution to their formation; Regulated and non-regulated pollutants with a significant impact on air quality and health
- Comprehensive Environmental and social impacts of transports: Scope extended beyond air quality, considering all forms of induced impacts (air, water and soil pollution, noise, etc.); Environmental and Social Life Cycle Analysis; CO2 footprint of remediation solutions; Mobility management, role of digitalization and big data; Innovative digital tools and methodologies as decision-making tools.
