In a few words

Christine Dalmazzone holds a doctorate and and a qualification to supervise research in physico-chemistry of processes from the University of Technology of Compiègne. She joined IFP Energies nouvelles in 1991 as a research engineer. She first worked in the Department of Biotechnology on the treatment of oil spills using surfactant formulations or bioremediation techniques. Since 1998, she joined the department of Physical Chemistry of Interfaces and Complex Fluids and contributed to the development of various techniques and methodologies for the characterization of complex systems of industrial interest (emulsions and foams, drilling fluids, gas hydrates, catalyst supports, detergent and demulsifier surfactant formulations, microemulsions for enhanced oil recovery, Pickering emulsions, etc.). Christine was also project manager on chemical EOR processes. Her research activities are now focused on the development of techniques and methodologies for the study of the properties of complex interfaces serving the energy transition, the environment and sustainable mobility. She has been a member of the board of directors of AFCAT (French Association of Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis) since 2003. She also teaches in various engineering schools and participates in training activities at IFP Training. She is the author of 66 peer-reviewed journal publications and 23 patents.
