In a few words

Dr Shadi Al-Nahari holds a master's degree in Membrane Engineering through the Erasmus Mundus program, an international joint program that awarded him degrees from the University of Montpellier (France), the University of Zaragoza (Spain), and UCT Prague (Czech Republic). He subsequently conducted his doctoral research under a research contract with the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), earning a PhD in Chemistry and Materials Physical Chemistry from the University of Montpellier in 2023. His doctoral research focused on the synthesis and nanoscale organization of zeolites, investigating how synthesis conditions and organic structure-directing agents influence their structural properties. His work combined advanced characterization techniques to elucidate zeolite formation mechanisms, host–guest interactions, and the relationship between synthesis parameters and material structure. In the same year, he joined IFP Energies Nouvelles as a Research Engineer. He now works in the inorganic materials synthesis department.

Dr Shadi has authored or co-authored 8 scientific publications and is the inventor of 6 patents. He is a member of the French Chemical Society (Société Chimique de France, SCF) and the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE). He was also previously a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the European Membrane Society (EMS).
