Carlos Andrade obtained his PhD from Mines Paris in 2021, with a thesis on modeling the energy transition and the circular economy of territories. He then carried out a postdoctoral research at IFPEN, within the Economics and Environmental Assessment department, on the role of negative emissions technologies in reducing emissions from the industrial sector. He subsequently joined the department as a foresight-economist, where he is responsible for the technical-economic analysis of various projects and technologies for the energy transition, as well as conducting prospective research on carbon management of energy systems. He is also the co-holder of the CarMa (Carbon Management) chair since 2024. He supervises a PhD student and a postdoctoral researcher. He also teaches in programs on CCUS and carbon management.
